Professional Experience & Resume
Technical Interests
- Information Systems Design/Engineering/Networking
- Cloud stacks (Azure, AWS) & AI
- Information Security
- DNS Extensibility and Privacy
- Projects & Products I like to support:
- Quad9 - free security-focused DNS
service that uses multiple threat intel feeds to block malicious domains.
I highly recommend this for business and personal use.
- Wireguard - modern, fast, secure
VPN great for site-to-site use and with good desktop/mobile support as well.
- Folding@Home - Use your computer's
spare CPU power to fold proteins to support resarch into cancers, neurological diseases
and infectious diseases (COVID, anyone?). It's easy to start and the work is valuable.
I recently got this set up again after a hiatus. I encourge you to check out this project.
My stats
Other
Interests
- With frequent consternation and bouts of elevated blood pressure, I'm
a lifelong fan of Phillies baseball and Flyers hockey.
- I like to read! My favorite non-fiction subject is history,
particularly the history of some of the more distant and less-discussed
(at least in the United States) periods surrounding the War of 1812, World
War I, and the Spanish Civil War. Antony Beevor is by far my favorite
author for this type of material. Outside of history, I enjoy the work of
Ernest Hemingway, Kurt Vonnegut, Nelson DeMille, Andrew Peterson and Lee
Child.
- I am an airplane buff and can spend an insane amount of time reading
about and looking at planes. I visit the National Museum
of the US Air Force every few years. I'm starting to
plan a trip to Europe in 2024/2025 to visit some of the aviation sites
and museums there, too.
- I do the NY Times crossword puzzle every day. And Wordle now, too.
Jeez, these obligations.
Boring stuff: This site was last updated in January 2024. Most of what I'm
interested in, particularly in tech, changes rapidly, so keep in mind that
older rants, links, notes, etc., may be out of date quickly. Unless otherwise
noted, content hosted at crlonline.net is © 2024 Christopher R. Leidich. Content
on other sites that you access via a link posted here is owned exclusively by
those sites' operators, not me - don't shoot the messenger (linker?).
If you have any questions or attribution concerns,
please just e-mail me and we'll get things sorted out.
